Thanksgiving closures expected in Tempe

The city of Tempe released its list of Thanksgiving-related closures.

In observance of Thanksgiving, the city of Tempe will close all administrative offices on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.
According to a city release, Tempe residents can expect a number of city services to be impacted by the Thanksgiving holiday.
Below is the full list of affected and unaffected services:
Emergency Services
Police and Fire services will be unaffected by the holiday.
Tempe 311
Tempe 311, the city’s Customer Relations Center, will be closed both days. To fill out a service request form, visit tempe.gov/311.
Tempe Customer Services
Tempe Customer Services will be closed both days. To start/stop service or pay your bill online please visit tempe.gov/CustomerService.
Tempe Municipal Court
The court will be closed both days. To make a payment or view case information, visit tempe.gov/court. Phone payments can be made by calling 480-350-8800 or 1-877-729-2687. The Automated Payment System is unavailable nightly from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Transportation
Bus and light rail services will operate according to holiday/Sunday schedules on Thursday, Nov. 23 and will have regular service on Friday, Nov. 24. The Tempe Transit Store will be closed both days. Visit tempe.gov/TempeinMotion.
Kiwanis Recreation Center, 6111 S. All-America Way, will be closed both days. The Tennis Center will also be closed (480-350-5201).
Kiwanis Park Batting Range will be closed both days (480-350-5727).
The Cloud at Kiwanis Park, Esquer Park, Hudson Park and Jaycee Park splash pads, and Escalante and McClintock pools are closed for the season.

Library and Cultural Centers
Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road, will be closed both days (480-350-5500).
Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave., will be closed both days (480-350-5100).
Edna Vihel Arts Center, 3340 S. Rural Road, will be closed Thursday through Sunday (480-350-5287).
Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, will be closed both days. Visit tempecenterforthearts.com for more information (480-350-2822).
Community Centers
Cahill Senior Center, 715 W. Fifth St., will be closed both days (480-858-2420).
Escalante Community Center, 2150 E. Orange St., will be closed both days (480-350-5800).
North Tempe Multigenerational Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath St., will be closed both days (480-858-6500).
Pyle Adult Recreation Center, 655 E. Southern Ave., will close at 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 20-22, and will be closed Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 23-26 (480-350-5211).
Westside Community Center, 715 W. Fifth St., will be closed both days (480-858-2466).
