Tess P. Peters, 90 Tess P. Peters, 90, of Apache Junction, passed away Dec. 13, 2007 in her home. She previously lived in Ironwood, Mich. and Colby, Wis. Mrs. Peters was born in Bloomburg, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Philip and Maruin (McKnight) Pillow. She worked at Grandview Hospital as its gift shop manager for 12 years and at Marshfield Clinic as a patient counselor. Both of these facilities were in Michigan. Mrs. Peters was a member of various organizations including The Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Colonial Dames. Locally, she was a member of VFW Post No. 9399 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Joseph, with whom she would have celebrated 35 years of marriage on Dec. 20, 2007; a son, Richard (Pat) Pillow; daughter-in-law Diane Lukowicz; and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo "Luke" Lukowicz in 1966 and son Joseph Lukowicz in 1989. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. She will be buried in Colby, Wis. Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.
