Temps to warm up across Valley

Get ready to ditch the jacket, Valley residents.

About 0.5 inches of rain fell over parts of the Valley on Tuesday and cold temperatures gripped the region, said Ryan Worley meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Phoenix, but forecasts for the next week show warming trends and drier conditions.

The downpour doused parts of Fountain Hills and Scottsdale during a short window of about one to two hours, Worley said.
