The return of water and waves makes a comeback Friday at Kiwanis Park in Tempe during April Pools Day.
The free, family event - 1-5 p.m. Saturday, April 1 - kicks off the pool season and features water safety activities, CPR demonstrations and swim lessons at the Kiwanis Wave Pool, according to a release.
There will be visits and safety messages from Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue, Salt River Project and the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.
Kiwanis Wave Pool will be open on Saturday only in April and Saturday and Sunday in May
