Tempe Town Lake reopens to paddleboarders

Paddleboards can return to Tempe Town Lake today, June 18.

The lake was closed to paddleboarders earlier this month so water could be tested after a seasonal bloom of blue green algae.

City officials said Friday afternoon that tests on water samples are within Environmental Protection Agency safety standards for recreation.
