Tempe to hold ‘Healing Fields’ on Sept. 11

In remembrance of the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the city of Tempe will hold an event to cast flags for each life lost.

The field at Tempe Beach Park will hold flags from Sept. 11-14 in honor of the more than 3,000 lives lost or missing from the attack.

At 5:46 a.m. Sept. 11, presenters will begin reading names of the lost lives. Performances by Desert Valley Winds and Jeff Senour and CTS will be part of the program.
