Tempe street closures planned for May 12 ASU commencement

Road closures and other travel restrictions will be in place for Arizona State University’s undergraduate commencement May 12 in Tempe.
The following street restrictions and closures have been identified; however, Tempe officials said others could be put in place to address public safety concerns that occur during the event.
May 12 from 8:30-11 p.m.:
Packard Drive will be closed in both directions between College Avenue and University Drive.
Sixth Street westbound will be closed at Rural Road.
Veterans Way will be closed in both directions between Sixth Street and College Avenue.
College Avenue will be closed in both directions between Sixth Street and Veterans Way/Fifth Street.
McAllister Drive will be closed in both directions between University Drive and Terrace Road.
Northbound Rural Road will be closed between Rio Salado Parkway and University Drive.
Westbound Rio Salado Parkway will be closed at McClintock Drive.
Southbound Scottsdale Road/Rural Road will be closed between Curry Road and Rio Salado Parkway.
Westbound and eastbound SR202 Scottsdale Road exit ramps will be restricted to northbound only.
Westbound University Drive will be closed between Rural Road and McClintock Drive.
