The Tempe Center of the Arts is changing its resident company program and has scheduled two meetings to provide the details.
Information sessions are scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Carter Lounge at TCA and noon Sept. 20 by Zoom.
“Tempe Center for the Arts Resident Company Program invests in performing arts and cultural organizations that have demonstrated potential to advance the city strategic goals: creative vibrancy, cultural literacy, inclusion and belonging and regional distinctiveness,” a release stated.

The Tempe Center of the Arts is changing its resident company program and has scheduled two meetings to provide the details.
Information sessions are scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Carter Lounge at TCA and noon Sept. 20 by Zoom.
“Tempe Center for the Arts Resident Company Program invests in performing arts and cultural organizations that have demonstrated potential to advance the city strategic goals: creative vibrancy, cultural literacy, inclusion and belonging and regional distinctiveness,” a release stated.
“The program aims to advance the artistic and business goals of selected organizations with a multi-year commitment.”
Program benefits include:
Multi-year support to achieve artistic and business goals.
Tailored partnerships to boost artistic and institutional capacity.
Audience development support.
Collaborative opportunities on projects that benefit artists and TCA.
Up to $15,000 annual cash investment for projects presented and/or produced by TCA.
Among the requirements to be eligible are applicants need to be nonprofit and commit three years to present an annual program of activities at TCA that includes a minimum of three separate public performances or programs per year.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, and the city advises those considering submitting an application attend one of the two sessions this month.
