Tempe renews emergency housing services with Dudley Oaks

Tempe City Council renewed its contract with Dudley Oaks Hotel to provide immediate shelter for the city’s homeless population through leasing hotel rooms that will be available for both individuals and families.

At the May 9 council meeting, a contract totaling over $500,000 was approved on consent to continue hotel room leasing services with Dudley Oaks, LLC. The six-month contract was renewed in a 6-0 vote, with Council Member Berdetta Hodge absent.

Dudley Oaks was first awarded the contract in October 2022, ultimately being chosen in favor of Drury Hotels.
