Tempe recruits businesses to provide summer internships

The Tempe Chamber Foundation and the city are working to develop links between businesses and students for a summer internship program.
Career Ready Tempe is preparing for the employment effort by looking for businesses to host Tempe youth and help prepare them for the future workforce, officials said in a release.
The paid internship opportunities are for fields that are in-demand.
Internships will be during June and July. Students are compensated by the Career Ready Tempe program at no cost to participating businesses.
“Career Ready Tempe staff will monitor and coordinate with interns/businesses throughout the process to ensure smooth implementation,” the release stated.
