Tempe Public Library waives all fines

Will also increase checkout limit

Checking out books, music and DVDs just got easier at the Tempe Public Library.

As of Feb. 14, the library system, located at 3500 S. Rural Road, has waived all fines for overdue returns. However, library users who do not return their items within 14 days after the due date will still be charged the cost of a replacement copy.

Tempe is following in the footsteps of nearby cities Phoenix and Mesa, which have already gone fine-free.
