Tempe post office conducts jobs fair

The United States Postal Service is having a job fair from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Tempe Post Office, 233 E. Southern Ave.

Applications also are accepted online at www.usps.com/careers

There are immediate openings for mail handlers, letter carriers and retail associates.

USPS personnel will provide information about the positions, answer questions and walk future employees through the application process, according to a release.

Starting pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour depending on the position. All positions come with paid time off, holiday pay and health care benefits, the release stated.

Applicants must be 18 years old and be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
