A car crashed Friday morning at Arizona Mills mall in Tempe, and police found a person with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle, authorities said.
Officers saw the car speeding prior to the crash, according to a Tempe Police Department release, and then found the individual who had been shot inside.
The person was taken to a hospital with what police said is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
“This investigation is still ongoing as to who shot the victim and how the incident occurred,” police said in the release.
There are no outstanding suspects.
