The Tempe Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the state in this year’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
This campaign aims to use strict enforcement measures and educational contacts to encourage drivers to properly use seat belts and child safety seats to assist in reducing the risk of death and serious injuries in collisions.
Tempe Police Department received a $10,000 dollar grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to cover officer personnel and campaign-related expenses for the event, which runs from May 18th to May 31st..

Proper safety belt and child safety seat use have been proven to be the most effective way to reduce death or serious injuries related to vehicle collisions. We thank the Governor’s Office for continuing to support agencies across the state by encouraging safe driving practices and making our roads safer.
