Tempe opens application period Nov. 13 for human services grants

Grant applications open Monday, Nov. 13 and remain available until Dec. 8 for Tempe nonprofits interested in human services funding.

The city and Tempe Community Council announced about $1.1 million will be awarded to local nonprofits through the agency review process, administered by TCC on behalf of the city.

The grant money largely comes from tax dollars dedicated to addressing critical human services needs in Tempe, according to a release.

“The grants are intended to improve the lives of those who are homeless, children and youth, individuals with disabilities, survivors of sexual and domestic violence, seniors/older adults and working poor individuals and families,” the release stated.
