DON CARLOS

Tempe humanitarian award goes to Angie Taylor

Angie Taylor, who has worked with a number of Tempe organizations involved in youth mentoring and meal delivery for the city’s most vulnerable, has been selected as the 42nd recipient of the Don Carlos Humanitarian Award.

The award, presented by the Tempe Community Council, will be given to Taylor during the 2025 Don Carlos Humanitarian Awards, a community celebration, dinner and fundraiser sponsored by Salt River Project.

Named in honor of Tempe founder Charles Trumbull Hayden, fondly remembered by early Hispanic residents as “Don Carlos,” the award recognizes individuals who reflect his legacy of compassion, leadership and dedication to helping others.
