Designer and Tempe High School alum Tony James and his brand Throne of Grace Clothing have been hand-selected by Phoenix Fashion Week to participate in its 2023 Emerging Designer Live Bootcamp.

Throne of Grace will be competing for 2023 Emerging Designer of the Year this October.

As explained in a press release, Throne of Grace is not just another clothing brand; it aims to inspire individuals to express their faith boldly through fashion.  The brand is built on the belief that faith should not be confined to places of worship but should be celebrated and shared in every aspect of life, including streetwear fashion.

“Fashion should embody a person’s mind, heart and belief system,” James said in the release.

His collection features a wide range of trendy and high-quality streetwear apparel, and Throne of Grace looks forward to casting out the vision and future of Throne of Grace on the 88-foot runway this October.

It will display a faith explosion of style, creativity and streetwear vibes. James has poured his heart into this upcoming collection of cut-and-sew outerwear, signature tops and accessories, the release stated.

Throne of Grace is not just about clothing; it is about creating a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about their faith and fashion.

“I am really impressed with the growth and vision of Throne of Grace Clothing in such a short time inside our Emerging Designer Bootcamp. Tony James is the kind of fashion designer to watch out for. Our entire team is excited for their official brand launch in October on our runway,” said Brian Hill, executive director of Phoenix Fashion Week, in the release.
