Tempe gears up for G.A.I.N. gatherings

Posted

G.A.I.N. night gatherings will take place 3-7 p.m. Oct. 21 in neighborhoods throughout Tempe.

Also known as Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods, the day is designed to develop neighborhood camaraderie and make communities “safer, more caring places to live,” city officials said in a release.

Each neighborhood decides how to celebrate the day, and those interested in participating can register through Sept. 30.

There also is a G.A.I.N. registration event 5:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Tempe History Museum Community Room, 809 E. Southern Ave. where participants can obtain information and tips to plan their day.
