A December tradition will take place this weekend in downtown Tempe when the Tempe Festival of the Arts returns for the second time this year.

The festival, which also occurs annually in March, is one of the oldest festivals in the Southwest, according to the city.

It will take place 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Dec. 1-3, along Mill Avenue and other streets downtown.

There will be artists from around the country, local music, a Kids Block and food.

Admission is free.
