Tempe expands homeless outreach team

The city of Tempe is redoubling its efforts to reach even more people in need.

Tempe is adding more homeless outreach specialists, putting teams in selected geographic zones and implementing extended weekend coverage to support people living on the streets with consistency.

The Tempe City Council has made several financial investments this year, which has helped the city’s Homeless Outreach Prevention Effort team grow from nine to 11 members Additionally, Tempe recently hired a new Homeless Solutions Manager with more than 15 years experience assisting the homeless and people with disabilities.
