Tempe event sheds light on mental health awareness
Posted
INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Tempe will have a family-friendly 5K walk and run to aid the cause on Saturday.
The city’s Care 7 team is the host of the free walk/run and Mental Wellness Fair “to destigmatize negative beliefs around mental health and raise awareness for building both individual and community resilience,” organizers said in a release.
The event begins at 8 a.m. May 6 at the Baseline Road entrance to Kiwanis Park.
All registrants will receive a swag bag and entry to win raffle prizes.
