Tempe covers Vision Zero update at council meeting

Tempe maintains its priority on making safer streets as work continues on its Vision Zero initiative. It is aimed at eliminating all traffic fatalities and serious injuries, taking an ethical approach to achieving safety for all road users.

At Tempe City Council’s April 18 work study, Deputy City Manager Greg Ruiz and other city staff gave a presentation on TempeSTAT: Vision Zero.

“Since February of 2018 when the city of Tempe made a commitment to the Vision Zero initiative, our goal has been clear to eliminate all traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries while also promoting safe and healthy mobility across the city,” Ruiz said.
