Tempe council subcommittee addresses human services needs for city’s most vulnerable

Tempe’s new Community Solutions for Livability and Wellbeing Council Subcommittee will bring residents, businesses and service providers together to identify strategies that support vulnerable community members, including older adults, veterans, families and people experiencing homelessness.
Its first meeting is at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road.
Chaired by Councilmember Doreen Garlid, with Councilmembers Nikki Amberg and Bobby Nichols, the subcommittee will examine housing, human services, funding and economic opportunities to help shape future policy recommendations.
