Tempe council meeting rescheduled after threat, now virtual

The canceled Aug. 28 Tempe City Council meeting has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Zoning items with hearing notice requirements, including the ADU hearing and the Revelry second reading, will be moved to Sept. 18.

The meeting was canceled after Tempe officials learned of a threat shortly before the 6 p.m. meeting start time that potentially put the audience, council and city staff in danger.
