Tempe company screens documentary at SXSW

GoDaddy film features Arizona farmer’s story

A documentary short film from GoDaddy, headquartered in Tempe, made its debut at Austin’s prestigious South by Southwest film festival this March.

"Big Water Summer: A Creation Story" features Coffee Pot Farms, a one-acre farm in Dilkon on Navajo Nation, and the entrepreneur behind it. Cherilyn Yazzie was discovered by the company through her participation in the Empower GoDaddy and the BBB Main St. Accelerator Program.

The film follows Yazzie as she takes on her largest crop ever, faces drought, navigates restrictions on the Native American reservation she calls home, shares personal, intimate pandemic experiences, including the loss of her father to COVID-19.
