Tempe collision sends motorcyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday evening in a collision at 48th Street and Southern Avenue in Tempe, police said.
The crash occurred about 5:15 p.m. Nov. 5, and a preliminary investigation shows the motorcyclist was traveling south on 48th Street at the Southern Avenue intersection, according to a release.
The driver of a vehicle failed to yield the right of way when making a left turn onto westbound Southern and struck the motorcycle, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Impairment is not a factor, police said.
