Tempe City Council has approved an amendment to city code allowing for the replacement of a seat focus atop the local Veterans Commission.
The 11 members who represent the Tempe Veterans Commission correspond with interest groups such as the Arizona Coalition for Military Families, the Pat Tillman Veterans Center at Arizona State University and the Arizona Department of Veterans Services.
The remaining members come from different veteran organizations that advise on supportive service, health and wellness, and housing advocacy and assistance.
