Tempe city code update ensures compliance with state statute

Tempe City Council recently adopted an ordinance amending the city code to comply with state programs regarding water-management processes.

At a Sept. 28 meeting, the mayor and council members held the final public hearing to adopt an ordinance that amended the Tempe City Code to add and clarify sections related to water conservation. Its first public hearing was held Sept. 7.

The item was approved in a 4-0 vote, with Council Members Berdetta Hodge, Randy Keating and Joel Navarro absent.
