Tempe Chamber hosts Gallego for federal briefing

Dozens of business leaders, local officials and members of the public recently came together to hear about Sen. Ruben Gallego’s solutions for conservation, affordability and health care.

The morning in a conference room of Rio Salado Community College started with a light breakfast and remarks by Robin Arredondo-Savage, CEO of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. She welcomed Steven Gonzales, chancellor for Maricopa Community Colleges, Robert Cogan from Salt River Project and Matthew Heil from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“Arizona has always been an innovator in water conservation and will continue to do so,” Gallego said in his remarks. He spoke casually and shared his concerns about the economy, and conservation of the Colorado River — a decades-long issue that could impact several states in the western part of the country.
