Tempe chamber CEO to participate in national education, workforce program

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has selected Colin Diaz for its business leadership program designed to help participants address education and workforce challenges.
Diaz, president and CEO of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, said the program “affords me the resources, connections and guidance to lead our chamber in addressing the pressing educational and workforce pipeline challenges.”
Diaz was selected along with 34 other state and local chamber executives, economic development professionals and association leaders to participate in the program’s ninth class, according to a release.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has selected Colin Diaz for its business leadership program designed to help participants address education and workforce challenges.
Diaz, president and CEO of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, said the program “affords me the resources, connections and guidance to lead our chamber in addressing the pressing educational and workforce pipeline challenges.”
Diaz was selected along with 34 other state and local chamber executives, economic development professionals and association leaders to participate in the program’s ninth class, according to a release.
The eight-month program, consisting of both in person and virtual meetings, “will cover the entire talent pipeline, including early childhood education, K-12, postsecondary education and workforce development,” the release stated.
“Our community is at a great inflection point,” Diaz said. “The challenges facing our business community are more complex than at any other time.”
