Tempe celebrates city’s Hispanic heritage with a tardeada

The 25th annual Tempe Tardeada to honor the city’s Hispanic heritage will be noon-8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Road.

There will be traditional dances, singing and mariachis as well as arts and crafts, tortilla-making demonstrations and face painting, according to a city release.

Guests can learn about Tempe’s Hispanic heritage by checking out the Tempe history museum’s family albums exhibition.
