The Broadway Curve improvement project is causing overnight closures this week on roads and ramps around work zones.

Tempe officials and the Arizona Department of Transportation said drivers should beware of the following, including detours:

1. The southbound SR 143 on-ramp at University Drive will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday morning, June 16, for concrete work. Use the east- and westbound I-10 on-ramps at 40th Street.
2. Northbound Priest Drive will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Tuesday through Friday morning for bridge work. Northbound detour: Use eastbound Baseline Road to northbound Mill Avenue to westbound Southern Avenue to access Priest Drive north of the closure. 
3. Guadalupe Road, including the bridge over I-10, will be closed in both directions between Pointe Parkway and Calle Sahuaro nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Tuesday Friday morning for bridge work. Note:  The bridge will be closed to motorists and cyclists, but the bridge will be open to pedestrians. Westbound detour: Motorists and cyclists should use southbound Kyrene Road to westbound Elliot Road to northbound 48th Street/Pointe Parkway to access Guadalupe Road west of the closure. 
   Eastbound detour: Motorists and cyclists should use southbound 48th Street/Pointe Parkway to eastbound Elliot Road to northbound Kyrene Road to access Guadalupe Road east of the closure.
4.  Northbound 48th Street will be closed between Broadway Road and I-10 nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Wednesday through Friday morning for bridge work.  Detour: Use westbound Broadway Road to northbound 40th Street to eastbound University Drive to access northbound SR 143.
5. The eastbound I-10 off-ramp will be closed at Warner Road from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday for concrete work. Use the eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Ray Road instead.
