Telehealth services now available at west Phoenix senior center

A program to bring health care access to rural parts of Arizona is now coming to Phoenix to help seniors connect to telehealth appointments.

The POTLUCK program — part of Age Friendly Arizona — funded by Humana, is now available at Phoenix’s Adam Diaz Senior Center, 4115 W. Thomas Road in west Phoenix. Seniors who are members at any of the city’s 15 senior centers can conduct telehealth visits from the Adam Diaz Senior Center.

Staff will assist seniors in asking their doctor or medical provider if they can do a visit virtually rather than in-person. A private room in the senior is set up and a nursing student from Arizona College of Nursing will assist the senior through the process.
