Telegraph Fire at 180,744 acres, has burned 52 structures

The Telegraph Fire in the Globe Ranger District has burned 180,744 acres and is 89% contained. The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. June 4 south of Superior, was human caused and is under investigation.

A total of 395 personnel are fighting the fire, which has burned 52 structures, according to the website for InciWeb, an interagency all-risk incident information management system.

Overnight, cooler temperatures and intermittent showers resulted in minimal fire activity. The Tuxedo Junction and Icehouse Canyon areas and the southeast corner of the fire on Mescal Mountain continued to experience scattered heat pockets, the website states.
