The Telegraph Fire in the Globe Ranger District has burned 179,678 acres and is 67% contained. The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. June 4 south of Superior, was human caused and is under investigation.
A total of 915 personnel are fighting the fire, which has burned 51 structures, according to the website for InciWeb, an interagency all-risk incident information management system.
Overnight, firefighters successfully used existing road systems to keep the fire from impacting Government Springs Ranch. Crews continued to monitor the fire backing down in pine stands on Pinal Peak. Firefighters maintained a presence in El Capitan, and the communities along Dripping Springs Road, it states.
