The Telegraph Fire in the Globe Ranger District has burned 176,122 acres and is 72% contained. The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. June 4 south of Superior, was human caused and is under investigation.
A total of 953 personnel are fighting the fire, which has burned 51 structures, according to the website for InciWeb, an interagency all-risk incident information management system.
Overnight, firefighters continued to patrol and scout State Route 77 and SR 177 corridors to identify hand line and/or dozer lines or to initiate burnouts if the fire advances, it states.
