Officers were called to a home in the area about 8 a.m. Sept. 3 where they found Giaginette Brown, 15, who had at least one gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were attempted, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The teen was in her bed, when shots entered her home between midnight and 3 a.m., according to a preliminary investigation.
“At least one of the several bullets that entered the house struck the victim. It is believed that the home was the intended target of the shooting,” police said in a release.
