Teen to get $50K from Scottsdale for motorbike accident

The city of Scottsdale is on the path to pay $50,000 for alleged injuries sustained by a 12-year-old who was hit while riding on a trail near east Mountain View Road and north 124th Street.

During a Dec. 7 meeting, Scottsdale City Council agreed on consent to offer a $50,000 settlement to resolve a pending lawsuit against the city and its employees.

More than $177,000 for medical bills was initially asked in the lawsuit stemming from injuries that the minor plaintiff, Cowen Boreyko, requested through his father, Benson. The payment will be made to “Moore Injury Law for Minor Cowen Boreyko.”
