Phoenix police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night at Cesar Chavez Park and left a teenage male and with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

At about 8 p.m. April 1, officers responded to 35th Avenue and Baseline Road regarding the shooting. The teen, who has not been identified, was found in a parking lot and taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Officers then received information from a nearby hospital of a woman who walked in with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The woman, who was treated and released, said she was at the scene of the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip.
