Teen girls die in UTV rollover in north Phoenix desert

An investigation is underway following a utility terrain vehicle crash Thursday that killed two teenage girls in a desert area in north Phoenix, police said.
Officers responded just after 2 p.m. Oct. 12 to an area near 64th Street and Pinnacle Peak Road where they found a UTV that had rolled over and remained upside down.
Two teen girls had been pronounced dead by Phoenix Fire Department personnel, according to a release.

Officers responded just after 2 p.m. Oct. 12 to an area near 64th Street and Pinnacle Peak Road where they found a UTV that had rolled over and remained upside down.
Two teen girls had been pronounced dead by Phoenix Fire Department personnel, according to a release.
The victims were identified Friday as Madeline Cross, 15, and Rylan Lee Poggi, 16.
