Teen dies after being shot in Phoenix, reward offered

A 17-year-old boy is dead, and Phoenix police are searching for his killer.

Authorities reported they found Marc Leyva about 9 p.m. Nov. 28 near 7th Avenue and Alta Vista Road. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Dozens of bullet casings were found at the shooting scene, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest, officials said.
