Business incubator getting new mission as world evolves

Surprise periodontist Aziz Bohra and his wife, Karen Aguilar, have developed a new endoscope that rests between the gums and teeth, meaning a patient’s gums won’t have to be cut in some surgeries.

They now sell their PerioView device to other dentists for $45,000 each.

So far, the couple have sold 38 of their devices, which isn’t bad for an invention that was borne out of Surprise’s AZ TechCelerator business startup incubator.
