Tech firm establishes office near Chandler Fashion Center

A recent ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the establishment of a Chandler presence by a tech firm.

Bechtel’s Manufacturing & Technology announced it’s establishing a new office in Chandler at 3133 W. Frye Road, just southeast of the Chandler Fashion Center mall area.

The office will serve as a location for Bechtel business, which serves customers in the semiconductor, battery and battery materials markets.

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke was among the government officials to meet with Bechtel and other business partners June 27 and pose for ribbon-cutting photos.

“Bechtel is one of the largest construction and engineering companies in the U.S.,” Hartke said in a statement. “Chandler has built a reputation, over several decades, as a manufacturing and technology hub. This beautiful new office will support the exciting economic development growth happening throughout our community and the region.”

The 8,000-square-foot office is located along the Price Corridor, even though it’s technically north of Loop 202. It includes space for employees in disciplines such as engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction management.

Catherine Hunt Ryan, president of Bechtel’s global business unit, said by focusing the company’s technical expertise in Chandler, Bechtel will deepen its collaboration and dedication with local partners engaged in new capital projects in the semiconductor, batteries, and battery materials markets.
