A Valley-based homebuilder snatched up 156.41 acres in north Phoenix, part of an ongoing frenzy to gobble up land near Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.

Homebuilder Taylor Morrison paid $32.2 million for the land at Cave Creek Road and Sonoran Desert Drive with plans to build a new housing development, according to Vizzda, a housing database.
The deal closed on April 2.
