$3.9M synthetic turf for 2 Mesa high schools approved

Bonds approved by voters will fund the $3.9 million cost for artificial-turf fields at Mountain View and Mesa high schools.

A contract with General Acrylics Inc. to install the turf was approved Dec. 8 in a unanimous Mesa Public Schools Governing Board vote.

The district eventually plans to install the turf at the remaining four high schools in the district — Dobson, Skyline, Red Mountain and Westwood.
