Sweating through the pandemic: Peoria fitness center pushes through tough times

As health officials begin to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to the most essential workers, one Peoria business is hoping it will bring back its members to a gym environment.

Anytime Fitness owner Scott Simms is looking to 2021 from a positive outlook after his location in Peoria lost more than 100 members because of the pandemic last year.

The location was closed for three months because of a state mandate, but since reopening, he said the business is following all Arizona health guidelines, including cleaning the gym three times a day with disinfectant.
