Suzanne “Sue” Painter

Suzanne “Sue” passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona, at the age of 88.
Born January 27, 1937, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Sue graduated from Bellefontaine High School and married William “Bill” Painter in 1955. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and shared purpose, raising their children in Dayton, Ohio, before retiring to Sun City, Arizona, in 2003. Sue worked as a meeting planner for Meeting Planners International.
In retirement, she remained deeply active in her community. She served as President of the Sun City Social Club and as treasurer of the Recreation Centers of Sun City for several terms. Many will remember her dedicated volunteer service at the Sun City Library, as well as her role in founding and leading the Sun City Wine Club and participating in numerous card clubs.
Sue is survived by her children: Patti Carey, Chris Painter, and Diane McDaniel; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years.
