SUV, motorcycle collision in north Phoenix leaves man dead

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday after a collision with an SUV near Tatum Boulevard and Bell Road, police said.

The crash in north Phoenix happened about 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9. Detectives responded and learned Gavin Green, 30, was driving south on Tatum Boulevard with no helmet when an SUV pulled out in front of him causing the deadly crash.

Green was pronounced dead at a hospital, officials said.

The woman driving the SUV stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, according to police.

Further details of the collision are under investigation.
