Police identify woman struck, killed in Cave Creek Road collision

Detectives are investigating a fatal collision Wednesday when a woman was struck and killed by an SUV during the early morning hours in north Phoenix, police said.
Police identified the victim as 59-year-old Sylvia Phillips.
The crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sept. 10, and police officers responded to find the woman suffering from critical injuries near 15000 North Cave Creek Road. She died at the scene.

Detectives are investigating a fatal collision Wednesday when a woman was struck and killed by an SUV during the early morning hours in north Phoenix, police said.
Police identified the victim as 59-year-old Sylvia Phillips.
The crash occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sept. 10, and police officers responded to find the woman suffering from critical injuries near 15000 North Cave Creek Road. She died at the scene.
Detectives said they learned the woman was crossing the road when she was hit. The man driving the SUV stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication, police said.
