A 31-year-old woman died after being hit Friday morning as she walked across Broadway Road mid-block near 27^th Street, Phoenix police said.

Detectives are investigating the crash that occurred about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 27.

Jayvontia Warren suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

The SUV driver remained at the scene, and he did not show any signs of impairment, authorities said.
